2017 Youth Mission Trip

Minneapolis, MN (July 8 – 15, 2017)

We have returned from our 2017 High School Mission Trip to Minneapolis, MN with Praying Pelican Missions and it was a success! We explored the Phillips neighborhood in downtown Minneapolis, where there is a large immigrant population. We prepared and served community meals in two different locations through an organization called Loaves and Fishes. We also did gardening, working at a community garden that is owned by the same organization, providing fresh food to their kitchens. We cleaned, sorted and organized shoes at a warehouse for a charity called Shoe Away Hunger, whose proceeds benefit food pantries and kitchens all over the city. We also did some work at Feed My Starving Children, an international charity based out of Minneapolis. They provide bagged food meals to be sent to countries experiencing drought and famine.
